Fused silica thimble for aluminium billet casting tables
Thimble refractories provide controlled, stable molten-metal flow into the moulds of aluminium billet casting tables. Low thermal conductivity and high thermal shock resistance support reliable operation during rapid temperature changes at casting start-up. Their smooth, non-wetting surface reduces metal adhesion and simplifies cleaning and maintenance. High mechanical strength supports a long service life.
